About Hale Ranches
Hale Ranches is a family-driven venture, born from a deep-rooted passion for sustainable agriculture and a shared dream to cultivate a thriving homestead in the heart of Scio, Oregon. The Family is a close-knit team between the Siblings Brittany & Cody, brittanys' husband Jeff, and Codys' fiancée Liz. Together, they are dedicated to revitalizing dormant land and building a legacy of responsible farming.
Their story begins in the fertile fields of Tillamook, Oregon, where Brittany and Cody grew up nurturing a diverse range of livestock on their Familys' Beef Ranch. This upbringing instilled in them a profound respect for the land and a commitment to ethical animal husbandry. Now, they are bringing that experience to their newly acquired property in Scio, a parcel of land that had remained untouched for over 15 years.
Hale Ranches' mission is to transform this land into a productive and sustainable homestead, capable of supporting both their thriving goat herd and commercial-level hay production. They are not just farmers; they are stewards of the land, committed to restoring its natural vitality. In 2023, they began the process of clearing thousands of hawthorn and ash trees and managing pasture with a small herd of beef cattle, while constucting agricultural buildings and laying the groundwork for their future endeavors. Currently, Hale Ranches is home to over 75 goats, including breeds such as Lamanchas, Boers, and Nubians, with plans to welcome more in the coming months.
At Hale Ranches, they believe in cultivating a harmonious relationship between their animals, the land, and the community. They are passionate about sharing their journey and connecting with others who share their love for rural living and sustainable agriculture. They are working hard to make their dreams come true, and they are excited to share the journey with you.
They are dedicated to proving that sustainable, commercial-level farming can coexist with responsible land stewardship. They are working to make this land productive again, not only for themselves, but for the community.
The team at Hale Ranches is excited to see what the future holds.
